Curved partitions: common questions
Can operable walls be curved?
Yes. Advanced Equipment manufactures curved panels that travel on a radiused track of the same radius, so the wall follows the curve of the room instead of cutting across it in straight segments.
What makes the Advanced Equipment curved system different?
It is the only system offering both a radiused track and matching curved panels as one integrated product. Curved layouts from other manufacturers are typically approximated using straight panels on a segmented track.
Can the radius be customized?
Yes — the radius is fabricated to suit the architectural design rather than selected from fixed options. Minimum radius is 3 ft, with no maximum.
How tall can curved panels be?
Curved panels are manufactured to a maximum of 30 feet high. (Straight ALPHA® panels go to 46 feet in one piece and to 60 feet as two-piece field-spliced panels; the curved range is lower.)
